Re-certification Course:A person, who has taken a CPR/Basic First Aid or AED Course within the past 2 years, may take a recert class. The class is shorter, so there is only a brief review of the skills you learned in your previous training. Reviewing your skills and you book before the class is encouraged. This course covers CPR for the adult, infant and child with Basic First Aid. There is also an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) option with a mandatory written test.
AHA Healthcare Provider Re-certification Course: A person, who has taken a Healthcare Provider CPR Course within the past 2 years, may take a recert class. The class is shorter, so there is only a brief review of the skills you learned in your previous training. Reviewing your skills and you book before the class is encouraged. This is an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider class; there is a mandatory written test. The course covers 1 rescuer and 2 rescuers CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants. Bag valve mask (BVM) technique, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and relief of Choking.
AHA Healthcare Provider Skills Check: Students will be able to continue to renew their BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by completing part 1 online (which includes the test) and then performing a skills check with an instructor. The student can print the new certificate, which has the new guidelines logo, showing completion of part 1. Bring it to the skills check to receive your new CPR card. The Skills Check takes only 1 hour.
