Basic First Aid is designed to train individuals and corporations which require training in Basic First Aid skills. This program
will provide Basic First Aid training to students, giving them the skills necessary to manage illnesses and injuries until the arrival of 911. Basic First Aid is
designed to complement cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training in order meet OSHA requirements for first aid training in the workplace or
occupational setting.
Advanced First Aid or Public Safety First Aid (title 22 approved) is designed to bridge the gap between the Basic First Aid
provider and professional Emergency Medical Services. This 16-20 hour program provides students additional tools to manage illnesses and injuries
until the arrival of EMS. This additional information includes: Vital Signs, Blood Pressure, Emergency Child Birth, Bag-Valve-Mask, Oral Airways, Triage, and more. Advanced
First Aid is conducted as a supplement for individuals who already completed Professional or Healthcare Provider CPR.
First Responder program is intended for individuals who, in the course of performing other duties, are likely (or expected) to
respond to emergencies, such as law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and other public and private safety and service personnel. The goal of the program is
to help students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions.
Wilderness Emergency Care (WEC) program supports a family of courses to meet the needs of everyone with outdoor interests, from
easy day trips to challenging and technical activities, including wilderness rescue.
Wilderness First Aid is an intensive 16-20 hour for those who are involved in wilderness recreation. This course may also meet the needs of
volunteers, professionals, wilderness trip leaders, or guides who lead groups on short trips in relatively low-risk situations. Wilderness First
Responder is a 40-60 hour course for wilderness professionals and others who want a higher level of training or require WFR certification.
**You must inform Lifeline if you are a Child Care Provider, these classes may not fulfill your requirement for EMSA in the State of
California.
