Public Safety First Aid (PSFA)

This 21-hour Advanced First Aid program is designed for law enforcement, lifeguards, firefighters, and other public safety personnel, effectively bridging the gap between Basic First Aid and Professional Emergency Medical Services.
Our curriculum meets Health and Safety Code, Title 22 requirements and is SSV-EMSA approved for emergency response. This course is offered to the public twice a year, in April and November, and is also available for private group bookings.
The training covers a comprehensive range of topics, including:
– Emergency response and communication
– Scene and patient assessment
– Bleeding control and shock management
– Sudden illnesses (breathing difficulty, diabetic emergencies, heart attack, stroke, etc.)
– Musculoskeletal injury care and spinal motion restriction
– Pregnancy and emergency childbirth
– Terrorist, active shooter, and natural disaster response
– Triage, treatment, and transport
This program fulfills the requirements for Public Safety First Aid as described in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 1.5.

TEXTBOOKS NOT included….  We have some textbooks for class use, but they must be returned.
